A cafe, a bottle shop, a service station or a store runs on casual staff who start on Friday and are on their own by Sunday. The hazards are ordinary and constant: hot food, wet floors, heavy stock, a customer who turns aggressive, a till at closing time, and an allergen question nobody was trained to answer.
These courses take under an hour on a phone before the first shift and leave a certificate on file for each person, which a franchisor, a landlord or a council inspector can verify by its ID. Buy one seat per starter, or a pack for the whole roster.
