What Our Training Is and Is Not
WorkProof training is non-accredited. This page sets out what a WorkProof certificate of completion is, what it is not, and when you must use a Registered Training Organisation instead.
Our Training Is Non-Accredited Awareness Training
WorkProof is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our courses are professional development and awareness training only. On completion you receive a certificate of completion, not a Statement of Attainment, not a unit of competency under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), and not a licence of any kind.
When You MUST Use Accredited Training Instead
Australian WHS laws require certain training to be delivered by an RTO or licensed provider. Common examples include:
- General construction induction (“White Card”): required before carrying out construction work in every state and territory (unit CPCWHS1001, RTO delivery only).
- High-risk work licences: forklifts, cranes, hoists, pressure equipment, scaffolding, rigging and dogging all require a licence issued by your state regulator after training and assessment by an accredited assessor.
- Licensed asbestos removal work, licensed demolition and similar licensed classes of work.
- First aid certification (e.g. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid) where your workplace first aid needs assessment requires certified first aiders.
- Approved HSR training: Health and Safety Representatives must attend a regulator-approved training course to exercise their statutory powers.
Requirements differ between states and territories. Always check with your local WHS regulator (SafeWork NSW, WorkSafe Victoria, WorkSafe Queensland, SafeWork SA, WorkSafe WA, WorkSafe Tasmania, WorkSafe ACT or NT WorkSafe) before relying on any training for a legal requirement.
What Our Courses Are Good For
- Workplace inductions and refresher training
- Evidence of the information, training and instruction a PCBU must provide under WHS laws
- Building general safety awareness and a stronger safety culture
- Professional development for supervisors, managers and safety champions
