ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Awareness
A practical, visual introduction to ISO 45001, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. Learn what a safety management system actually is, how it differs from your legal duties under WHS law, how the standard is structured around the Plan Do Check Act cycle, what it requires on worker participation and consultation, how hazards, risks and opportunities are handled and what happens in an internal audit and a certification audit. Written for people who work in a certified organisation, or one heading that way, with no management system background assumed.

Who This Course Is For
Workers, supervisors, managers and contractors in an organisation certified to ISO 45001 or working towards certification and anyone who wants to understand what the standard asks of them.
Accreditation: This is a non-accredited awareness course. Written against ISO 45001:2018 including Amd 1:2024, the Climate action changes amendment, being the edition in force at the date of writing. A revised edition of ISO 45001 is in development (draft international standard stage in 2026) and is expected to be published in 2027 with a transition period; this course will be updated when it is. It builds general awareness of the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system standard and does not issue a formal qualification. Completing it does not certify you, does not certify your organisation and is not a substitute for an audit by an accredited certification body, for your organisation's own safety procedures or for the work health and safety laws that apply where you work.
