What You Will Learn

  • Identify the common hazards in warehouse and storage work and how the WHS general duties apply to them
  • Explain how to keep pallet racking stable, including load limits, inspection and reporting damage
  • Describe safe manual task practices and when to use mechanical handling aids instead of lifting by hand
  • Apply safe systems for separating pedestrians from forklifts and other powered mobile plant
  • Recognise safe stacking and housekeeping practices that prevent slips, trips and falling loads
