Who This Course Is For
Industrial, maintenance, construction, utilities, agricultural and processing workers, supervisors and managers who work near confined spaces or supervise others who may need to enter them.
Accreditation: This is a non-accredited awareness course. It does not issue a unit of competency and does not authorise you to enter a confined space. Before anyone enters a confined space, the law requires your employer to provide suitable and adequate information, training and instruction for that role (WHS Regulation 2011 (Qld) r 76; equivalent provisions apply in other jurisdictions), together with a valid entry permit and site-specific procedures. This awareness course does not itself provide that training. It builds your understanding of the hazards and controls, but the training, instruction and procedures your employer must give you before entry are separate and are not replaced by this course.
