Workplace Health Training Courses

The health side of the job is the part that does not bleed: an infection picked up on a shift, food handled badly, a workstation at a desk or a kitchen table that is slowly doing damage, alcohol or medication in the wrong job, an injury that turns into a long absence because nobody managed the return. None of them makes a noise on the day, which is why they are the ones that get left.

These courses cover the health side of the duty for the office, the kitchen, the ward and the site. Infection control and biological hazards for care, community and cleaning work, food safety and hygiene for anyone who handles food at work, ergonomics for the desk and for working from home, drugs and alcohol, and injury management and return to work for the managers who handle the claim. Each course names the instrument it is written against and the date it was checked. The food safety course is awareness training. It is not a Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
