A practical, visual awareness course on working safely with and around scaffolding. Learn to recognise scaffold hazards, tell the common scaffold types apart, use safe access, respect exclusion zones, read a scaftag before you step on a platform and understand the WHS duties that apply, through paced slides with diagrams, a real site decision scenario and quick self-checks.

What You Will Learn
- Recognise the common hazards associated with scaffolding and the harm they can cause
- Identify common types of scaffold and the tasks each is suited to
- Use safe access and edge protection when getting on, off and working on a scaffold
- Read a scaftag and describe when a scaffold must be inspected and by whom
- Apply exclusion zones and the WHS duties that govern using and working near scaffolds

Final Assessment: 10 questions, 80% pass mark, retakes available
Who This Course Is For
Workers who use, work on or work near scaffolding, including labourers, trades, apprentices, supervisors and site staff on construction and maintenance sites.

Erecting, altering or dismantling a scaffold from which a person or object could fall more than 4 metres is high-risk work that must only be carried out by the holder of a scaffolding high-risk work licence issued by your state or territory WHS regulator.
