What You Will Learn
- Recognise common chemical and hydrocarbon spill hazards and the WHS and environmental duties they trigger
- Apply everyday spill-prevention practices such as correct storage, secondary containment and safe decanting
- Identify the main types of spill kit and match the right absorbent to a spill
- Follow a safe assess-contain-clean-up sequence that protects drains and waterways
- Report and dispose of spills correctly, including when a pollution incident must be notified to the environmental regulator
