Online WHS Awareness Certificate: Proof You Can Show in Seconds

Non-accredited online WHS awareness for Australian workplaces. Intro course about 75 minutes, $49 inc GST, certificate ID anyone can verify. Not an RTO.

Published 2026-10-04

When a head contractor, client or auditor asks for evidence that your people have done workplace safety awareness training, they usually want a name, a date and something they can check. That is what a WorkProof certificate of completion is for.

Try it before you buy: open Verify and enter WP-SAMPLE-0001. No account. Free.

If you were asked for a White Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry), a Statement of Attainment, a high-risk work licence or any nationally recognised unit, stop here. WorkProof is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We do not issue Statements of Attainment. See accreditation.

Who This Is For

  • New starters who need a solid grounding in Australian WHS before the first shift
  • Supervisors, office and site staff who want the legal framework in plain English
  • SME employers and subcontractors who need awareness seats and a dated record to show a site gate, prequalification portal or auditor, not a full learning management system and not an accredited unit

What the Intro Course Covers

  1. The Australian WHS legal framework (and how it lands in your state or territory)
  2. Who holds WHS duties: the PCBU (the business or employer), officers, workers and others
  3. What “reasonably practicable” means when managing risk
  4. Consultation, Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and speaking up
  5. Incident notification and how regulators enforce the law
  6. A workplace decision scenario and a final assessment

Written by Kam Askari, Managing Director of Creative Directions Management Consulting Group, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. MBA, Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, MAICD. Sources and check dates sit on the course page.

Some sites ask for evidence that workers have done awareness training on the hazards and duties they will meet, with a name and a date. A WorkProof certificate is that kind of record. Whether a head contractor or client accepts it is their call, so send them the sample verify link before you buy for the whole crew.

FAQ

Is this accredited / nationally recognised?
No. WorkProof is not a Registered Training Organisation. You get a certificate of completion with a verification ID, not a unit of competency, licence or ticket.

Will my site / head contractor accept it?
Only they can say. If they asked for awareness evidence with a name and a date, a WorkProof certificate may meet that request. If they asked for a White Card, Statement of Attainment or licence, this is not it. Send the sample verify link first.

How long does the intro course take?
About 75 minutes for most people. It saves progress so you can pause and come back.

Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can ask for a refund within seven days of purchase if you have not started the course. Opening any lesson, material or assessment counts as starting. For team seats, the enrolment code must not have been activated. Email support@workproof.com.au with your order number. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected, so if a course does not meet a consumer guarantee you may be entitled to a remedy even after seven days. See clause 6 of our Terms of Sale.
